Basketball Recap: West Stokes Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

West Stokes's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 40-29 win over the McMichael Phoenix. The Wildcats pushed the score to 38-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Phoenix cut but never quite recovered from.

West Stokes' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for McMichael, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Stokes won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Walkertown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Stokes is facing Walkertown at the right time seeing as Walkertown is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for McMichael, they and T.W. Andrews will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
