Baseball Recap: Center Takes a Loss

Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jasper Bulldogs. The Roughriders were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Easton Wulf was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high.

Center now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Jasper, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Center will be taking part in a tournament against New Diana at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Jasper, they and West Plains will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jasper is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
