Baseball Recap: Norfolk Academy Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Norfolk Academy and Cape Henry Collegiate meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Bulldogs took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dolphins. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 11-7 to the Dolphins when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Norfolk Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norfolk Academy will host Miller School of Albemarle at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, they will square off against Grassfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
