Soccer Game Preview: Little Elm vs. Marcus

The Little Elm Lobos are taking a road trip to square off against the Marcus Marauders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Little Elm's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Little Elm gave up the first goal last Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They won by a goal and slipped past Guyer 3-2. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Lobos' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 536th, while the Wildcats are ranked 122nd).

Meanwhile, Marcus hasn't lost a match since January 11th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Flower Mound by a score of 3-1.

Marcus hit Flower Mound with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ethan Garza, Kananelo Dube, and Owen Gall.

Marcus' record is now 7-2-2. As for Little Elm, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3-1 and their overall record up to 2-7-3.
