Softball Recap: Paynesville Comes Up Short

If Paynesville was riding high fresh off their 13-1 takedown of Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Kimball Cubs on Thursday, falling 12-1. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Paynesville's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Kimball, they pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road.

While Paynesville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
