Basketball Recap: Bremen Comes Up Short

Bremen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Andrew Thunderbolts. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 68-46 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2016.

Bremen's loss dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Andrew, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-16 record this season.

Looking ahead, Bremen will face off against Stagg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Andrew, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Homewood-Flossmoor at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Homewood-Flossmoor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 matchups -- so hopefully Andrew likes a good challenge.
