League recap: Royal Valley stuns Sabetha in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sabetha, who took down 130th ranked Sabetha, 20-14. Austin Hodison threw for 77 yards and ran for 61 yards in the win.

Nemaha Valley was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in Big Seven. The Raiders beat Perry-Lecompton 21-6 earlier in the week.

The Kaws' dynamic duo of Seth Surface and Riley Davis proved tough for Nemaha Valley to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Surface threw for 216 yards and one touchdown and Davis had 93 yards receiving. Matt Logan helped Perry-Lecompton's passing attack out by catching four balls for 51 yards.

On the ground, Royal Valley's Hodison has rushed for 389 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tyler Shaffer. The Santa Fe Trail star has 11 catches for 254 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Warren Seitz's team takes on Hiawatha. As it stands, the Raiders are in second, while the Red Hawks are in third.

Holton extended the longest winning streak in Big Seven this week by beating Hiawatha, 61-14. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
