Softball Recap: Anacortes Wins Going Away Against Sehome

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lynden Christian, Anacortes was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Sehome Mariners 14-3. The Seahawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Anacortes' win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Sehome, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anacortes will welcome Ferndale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.75 runs per game on average), something the Seahawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sehome, they will host Lynden Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lyncs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Mariners surely won't give up without a fight.
