Softball Recap: South Florence Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hartsville

South Florence extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Hartsville. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Red Foxes. This was a revenge game for the Bruins: when they faced off against the Red Foxes back in April, they had to take a 9-7 loss.

Payton Perry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Rylie Rowsey was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Page White was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

South Florence pushed their record up to 24-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Hartsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-6.

As of now, neither South Florence nor the Red Foxes have any future games scheduled.
