Kenny Jager Dazzles in Chicago Christian Win

Starting off the list is Chicago Christian's Kenny Jager, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jager rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Chicago Christian, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Jager and Chicago Christian will venture away from home to square off against Aurora Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Flutman Came Up Big in Chicago Christian's 42-0 Victory

Chicago Christian picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Christian Flutman. Flutman did his part (and then some), throwing for 163 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 34 yards for the 'W'.

Christ the King had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Flutman it was a similar story. When Flutman last faced the Gladiators back in October of 2023, he rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns.

Wheaton Academy Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to London Leflore

Wheaton Academy picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to London Leflore. Leflore was unstoppable, rushing for 25 yards and two touchdowns.

Wheaton Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Leflore and Wheaton Academy will head out on the road to take on Marian Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While St. Edward might've come up empty on Friday, Luis Vargas wasn't going down without a fight. Vargas was dynamite, making five total tackles.

St. Edward is on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8. Vargas and St. Edward will square off against Bishop McNamara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
