Basketball Recap: Stuart Takes a Loss

After flying high against Randolph last Friday, Stuart came back down to earth. The Stuart Broncos fell to the Santee Warriors 57-53. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Miley Pike was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 28 points and ten rebounds for Santee. Pike has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Aubrinee Tuttle was another key player, putting up 13 points along with eight assists and seven boards.

Stuart's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Santee, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Stuart does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santee, they are taking a road trip to challenge St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Mary's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season.
