Basketball Recap: Pittsburg Comes Up Short

Pittsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gorham Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 67-65 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Pittsburg now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Gorham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Pittsburg will head out to take on Littleton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Littleton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Pittsburg likes a good challenge. As for Gorham, they will challenge Profile at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
