Game recap: Trotwood-Madison High School Football Team beats Winton Woods

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Trotwood-Madison (Trotwood, Ohio) grabbed the lead when with less than a minute remaining in the fifth quarter and held on to upset Winton Woods (Cincinnati, Ohio) 27-20 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured two lead swaps.

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Shemar Hooks, the Warriors went into halftime with a 13-7 lead. The Rams scored the winning points with a touchdown catch by Reese that came in the fifth quarter.

Despite scoring zero points in the third, Trotwood-Madison still trailed by 12 points going into the fourth quarter. But 14 points in the fourth helped TM pull out the victory.

Robbie Lewis made a difference for Winton Woods. The senior kicked two extra points.



Reese stood out for the Trotwood school in the win. The junior ran for one touchdown, caught two touchdowns and kicked three extra points.

The defeat comes as a step back for Winton Woods, which notched a 50-0 victory over Edgewood in its previous outing. The loss snapped WW's 3-game winning streak.
