Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. O'Connor + Official Tickets

The Liberty Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the O'Connor Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Liberty will head out to face O'Connor after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Lions fell just short of Sunrise Mountain by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Liberty came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Sunrise Mountain are ranked 62nd).

Meanwhile, O'Connor earned a 3-1 victory over Sunnyslope on Friday. The win continues a trend for O'Connor in their matchups with Sunnyslope: they've now won four in a row.

Raegan Pool and Sydney Gregory scored all three of O'Connor's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 9-4-1. As for O'Connor, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Liberty skirted past O'Connor 1-0 when the teams last played back in January of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
