Recap: Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs vs. Elkins Elks
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 53-15 loss at the hands of the Elks. Central Arkansas Christian's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Da' Shawn Chairs, who rushed for 250 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry for Elkins. Chairs was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Another player making a difference was Dizzy Dean, who rushed for 135 yards on only 12 carries.
Central Arkansas Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Elkins, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Central Arkansas Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Elkins is on the road again on Friday and play against Harding Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Harding Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
