Baseball Recap: Westminster Christian Comes Up Short

Westminster Christian came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Basic Wolves by a score of 10-8 on Thursday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

James Suarez and Landon Tews did some serious damage despite the final result: Suarez scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Tews scored a run while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Pineiro, who scored a run while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Westminster Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-1. As for Basic, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Coming up, Westminster Christian will square off against Faith Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Basic, they will face off against Liberty at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
