Volleyball Preview: Black River Pirates vs. Hillsdale Falcons
Black River is a perfect 3-0 against Hillsdale since August of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will be taking part in a tournament against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Hillsdale took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Black River, who comes in off a win.
Black River took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Oberlin 3-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pirates as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.
Black River was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-18, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Hillsdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Dalton, falling 3-0.
While Hillsdale was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-11.
Hillsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Black River, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
