Baseball Game Preview: Barnwell Warhorses vs. South Aiken Thoroughbreds

The Barnwell Warhorses will face off against the South Aiken Thoroughbreds at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Barnwell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Barnwell came up short against South Aiken and fell 6-2. The Warhorses have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cameron Austin was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

The win (which was South Aiken's sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-13. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Barnwell, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
