Football Game Preview: Clear Fork Colts vs. Galion Tigers

The Clear Fork Colts are taking a road trip to face off against the Galion Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clear Fork's defense has only allowed 14.9 points per game this season, so Galion's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Clear Fork was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against River Valley on Friday. The Colts blew past the Vikings, posting a 44-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won four games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Galion came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Presidents by a score of 28-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Presidents are ranked 282nd).

Galion's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Clear Fork, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Clear Fork might still be hurting after the 41-21 defeat they got from Galion in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Colts were down 27-7.
