Valwood waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

One reason for the win was Valwood's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-14.

Valwood found their leader in sophomore Presley Burch, who had six digs and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Burch.

Valwood's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Valwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Thomas County Central on the 22nd. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Tattnall Square Academy on the 16th.
