Football Game Preview: Byron Nelson Bobcat vs. Keller Central Chargers

The Byron Nelson Bobcat are taking a road trip to square off against the Keller Central Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Byron Nelson will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Byron Nelson is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Bell: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bobcat blew the Blue Raiders out of the water with a 42-3 final score. The Bobcat might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Parker Almanza had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 335 yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in one score on the ground. Macavion Hill was in the mix too, providing Byron Nelson with two TDs.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 38 points the game before, Keller Central was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by Southlake Carroll and fell 49-3. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Keller Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Byron Nelson, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Byron Nelson against Keller Central in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 56-12 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcat since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
