Football Game Preview: Window Rock Fighting Scouts vs. Winslow Bulldogs + Official Tickets

Window Rock hasn't had much luck against Winslow recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Fighting Scouts will host the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Window Rock turned things around against Monument Valley on Friday. They secured a 16-12 W over the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Winslow, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 win over Ganado on Friday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Window Rock better keep an eye on Gino Quinones. He was instrumental in Winslow's win, rushing for 140 yards and four scores on only ten carries. Those 140 rushing yards gave Quinones a new career-high. Another player making a difference was James Mendoza, who rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries.

Winslow was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 341 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Winslow's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Window Rock, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-7.
