Recap: Parkville Knights vs. St. Paul's Crusaders
After flying high against the Perry Hall Gators on Friday, the Parkville Knights came back down to earth. Parkville lost to St. Paul's on the road by a decisive 63-47 margin on Saturday. The game was a 26-26 toss-up at halftime, but Parkville was outscored by St. Paul's in the second.
Parkville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Alexander, who scored 11 points. The matchup was Alexander's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Council, who scored nine points.
Parkville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for St. Paul's, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Parkville and Kenwood will face off at 5:30 p.m. on December 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kenwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 237th, while Parkville is ranked 100th). St. Paul's will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Concordia Prep at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
