Volleyball Recap: Park Hill's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, Park Hill rose to the challenge on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Staley Falcons 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Park Hill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-17, 25-20.

Park Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Myer Cohara led the charge by getting six digs and two aces. Cohara has been hot, having also posted 17 or more assists the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooke Brown, who had 13 digs.

Park Hill's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Staley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Hill will head out to face off against Park Hill South at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Staley, they will venture away from home to challenge Lee's Summit North at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
