Basketball Game Preview: Stern Titans vs. The School of Los Angeles Coyote

Stern is 9-0 against The School of Los Angeles since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Stern Titans will welcome The School of Los Angeles Coyote at 2:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Stern has six straight wins, The School of Los Angeles has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Stern beat Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus 58-53.

Stern's success was spearheaded by the efforts of David Garcia, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards, and Jr Romero, who posted 17 points and three steals. The game was Garcia's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Reyes, who earned six points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.

Meanwhile, The School of Los Angeles came up short against Animo De La Hoya back in December of 2024 and fell 46-39.

Stern pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for The School of Los Angeles, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Stern took their win against The School of Los Angeles in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 66-41. Does Stern have another victory up their sleeve, or will The School of Los Angeles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
