Baseball Recap: Northampton Has No Trouble Against Louis E. Dieruff

Northampton won the last time they faced Louis E. Dieruff and things went their way on Thursday too. The Northampton Konkrete Kids put the hurt on the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies with a sharp 15-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Konkrete Kids.

Brady Simock and Gavin Pychinka made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Simock struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Pychinka pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance gave Simock a new career-high in strikeouts. At the plate, Simock scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Pychinka went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Aidan Sugra was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Stuhldreher, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Northampton's record now sits at 2-0. As for Louis E. Dieruff, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northampton will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on North Pocono at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Louis E. Dieruff, they will square off against Salisbury Township at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
