Basketball Recap: Bradford Academy Comes Up Short

Bradford Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Lee Christian Falcons 80-38. While losing is never fun, the Archers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 653rd, while the Falcons are ranked 229th).

Lee Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Brown out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Brown's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Rumbold, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, ten boards, and 12 assists.

Bradford Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Lee Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

As of now, neither Bradford Academy nor Lee Christian have any future games scheduled.
