Basketball Recap: Linganore Falls Short of North Hagerstown in the Playoffs

Linganore and North Hagerstown squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Linganore had to settle for second. They took a 68-54 bruising from the North Hagerstown Hubs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Donaldson, who went 8-for-18 to rack up 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Donaldson's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Hodgson, who posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and four blocks.

The loss snapped Linganore's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-9 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points over those games. As for North Hagerstown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-7.

As of now, neither Linganore nor North Hagerstown have any future games scheduled.
