Recap: Westwood Cardinals vs. Dumont Huskies
The Westwood Cardinals put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dumont 41-12 at home. Fans of Westwood have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Among those leading the charge was Robbie Carcich, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 203 yards and a touchdown while completing 90.5% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Aidan Carrazana, who gained 72 total yards and two touchdowns.
Westwood's win was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Dumont, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westwood will take on Newton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Newton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Westwood is ranked 39th). Dumont will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Tenafly at 10:30 a.m. on November 23rd.
