Basketball Recap: Tell City Takes a Loss

Tell City suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 49-27 to the North Posey Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Marksmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Vikings are ranked 75th).

North Posey got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa Heath out in front who went 6 for 15 en route to 14 points and five assists. Those five assists gave Heath a new career-high. Ella Weatherholt was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Tell City's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for North Posey, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tell City has already played their next contest (against Springs Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Posey has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against South Spencer.
