Softball Recap: Boylan Catholic Comes Up Short

Boylan Catholic lost to Guilford back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Titans fell 8-4 to the Vikings.

Boylan Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ari Ousley, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Ousley has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another was Gabby Acuna, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Boylan Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Guilford, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Boylan Catholic will face off against rival Rockford Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Guilford is set to square off against their familiar foe Hononegah at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
