Baseball Recap: Olive Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Olive challenged Glencoe on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-1. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Olive saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Nickell, who went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, one run, and one double. Nickell is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

Olive's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Glencoe, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

While Olive had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
