Recap: Mount Notre Dame vs. Dublin Coffman Shamrocks
Mount Notre Dame entered their tilt with the Dublin Coffman Shamrocks with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Mount Notre Dame secured a 43-37 W over Dublin Coffman on Sunday. Given Mount Notre Dame's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while Dublin Coffman is ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Notre Dame to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laila Harrison, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds. Reece Hackney was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Mount Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Dublin Coffman, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Notre Dame will face off against Mercy McAuley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Mercy McAuley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday. Dublin Coffman is on the road again on Friday and play against Olentangy Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th.
