Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Riverside's offense. They came up short against the Corbett Cardinals on Friday, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 26 runs in the game before, the Pirates' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Riverside saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Cemore, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Riverside has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Corbett, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Riverside will square off against McLoughlin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Corbett, they will face off against Portland Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
