Soccer Game Preview: Delone Catholic vs. Fairfield

The Delone Catholic Squires will head out to face off against the Fairfield Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Delone Catholic managed to keep up with Lancaster County Christian until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Squires came up short against the Lions, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Delone Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Lancaster County Christian are ranked 51st).

Meanwhile, Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 11-0 to York Catholic.

Delone Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Fairfield, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1.

Everything went Delone Catholic's way against Fairfield in their previous meeting back in September, as Delone Catholic made off with a 7-2 win. In that contest, the Squires amassed a halftime lead of 6-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
