Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Elmira). They blew past the Waverly Wolverines 17-2 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
 Marley Devlin made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Ryleigh Ogden, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and two  doubles. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Madelynn Cavalier, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  RBI and two  runs.
 Elmira  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .683. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  victory was  the third in a row for Elmira, bringing their record up to 4-4. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Waverly, their loss  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 3-3.
 Looking ahead, Elmira will take on Pittsford at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Waverly, they will challenge Southside at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
