Football Recap: Bennett Dome Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat University

Venice not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 11, 2024 (when they won 42-0). They blew past the University Wildcats 27-7. The Gondoliers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Venice to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bennett Dome, who threw for 137 yards and three touchdowns. Dome's passing game has become a key predictor of the Gondoliers' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

The win got Venice back to even at 3-3. As for University, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
