Shining Light Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over True Gospel Christian on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, Gospel Light Christian came into Thursday's match having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Calvary Christian 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Gospel Light Christian has posted since March 21st.

Owen Hester and Mark Spencer were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Hester tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Spencer pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Gospel Light Christian: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 1-9 otherwise.
