Volleyball Recap: Woodland Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

There's no place like home for Woodland, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jonesport-Beals Royals on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Woodland not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Jonesport-Beals between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-17.

Kaylin Hamilton paced Woodland's offense, picking up nine kills. Hamilton got some help from Jordyn Phelps and her 23 assists. Phelps was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Woodland pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Jonesport-Beals, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Woodland will face off against Narraguagus at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Jonesport-Beals does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
