Baseball Recap: Centennial Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Central

Centennial is ranked highly in their home state and on Monday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Central. Centennial came out on top against Central by a score of 7-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 last Saturday.

Stryker Eldred looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Korbyn Nielsen was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Cooper Powell was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
