Basketball Recap: Gadsden Comes Up Short

Gadsden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Las Cruces Bulldawgs, falling 72-39. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldawgs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-27 back in January.

Gadsden's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Las Cruces, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Looking ahead, Gadsden will take on Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Las Cruces, they will face off against Organ Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Organ Mountain comes in on 11 and Las Cruces on four.
