Softball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the St. Mary's Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolfpack of the 13-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Malia Morreira made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

West's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for St. Mary's, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8.

While West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
