Basketball Recap: Henry-Senachwine Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Henry-Senachwine had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the LaMoille Lions with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 52-37. That's more bragging rights for the Mallards, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

LaMoille's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brayden Klein, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds, and Connor Deering, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Deering has posted since back in January.

Henry-Senachwine's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for LaMoille, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Henry-Senachwine will welcome Roanoke-Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LaMoille, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the LaMoille Lions face off against the Leland Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully LaMoille likes a good challenge.
