Basketball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

If Columbia was riding high fresh off their 52-27 takedown of Skyview back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Columbia Wildcats took a 40-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jerome Tigers on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Tigers are ranked 18th).

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Jerome, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Columbia won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Capital at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jerome, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Kuna at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
