Nate Erwin put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Saturday. He struck out three batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Even though Erwin couldn't lead Southern Maryland Christian Academy over Avalon, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs have some work to do to even out the 1-6 series between these two since April of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
