Volleyball Recap: Highland Huskies vs. Brush Beetdiggers

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Brush Beetdiggers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-15.

Malia Boudreau paced Highland's offense, picking up five kills. Boudreau got some help from Leah Varra and her six assists. Nikki Quinones controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Hannah Hansen, who had five digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Brush, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Highland has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Front Range Christian on the 18th. As for Brush, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Sterling on the 16th.
