Baseball Game Preview: Santa Fe Wildcats vs. Eagleville Eagles

The Santa Fe Wildcats will square off against the Eagleville Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Santa Fe will be strutting in after a win while Eagleville will be coming in after a loss.

Santa Fe took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Culleoka, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Warriors 7-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Eagleville suffered their closest loss since March 16th on Saturday. They fell just short of William Blount by a score of 6-4.

Eagleville saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Blair, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Carter Warbritton was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

Eagleville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Santa Fe, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-8.
