Baseball Recap: Borger's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but Borger unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tascosa Rebels by a score of 8-7.

Mason Mangum was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Zander Wallace also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Borger's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Tascosa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Borger will head out on the road to challenge Palo Duro at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Tascosa, they will welcome Perryton at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
