Softball Game Preview: Caledonia Warriors vs. St. Charles Fighting Saints

The Caledonia Warriors will challenge the St. Charles Fighting Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caledonia is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Caledonia's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They skirted past Stewartville 1-0. The one-run effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, St. Charles didn't have quite enough to beat Randolph on Monday and fell 2-1. The Fighting Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caledonia pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for St. Charles, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Caledonia was able to grind out a solid win over St. Charles in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 9-5. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Fighting Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
