Baseball Recap: Haldane Comes Up Short

Haldane and Tuckahoe squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Haldane had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 7-1. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Hunter Erickson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Haldane's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Tuckahoe, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

While Haldane had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
